ASA’s flagship publication, the Autism Advocate, is published four times each year, reaching approximately 60,000 ASA members, supporters and professionals. The quarterly magazine offers a diverse collection of the latest issues in autism (e.g., education, environmental health, therapies/interventions, adult issues, caregiving, etc.), ASA news, personal perspectives of families and individuals living with autism, and tips from parents and professionals. You must be an ASA member to receive the Autism Advocate. To join, click here.
ASA also publishes a bi-monthly online newsletter, ASA-Net, which goes out to about 85,000 members and supporters. ASA-Net includes up-to-date information on the latest research, education and advocacy efforts in the autism field, as well as ASA news, listings of upcoming autism conferences, and descriptions of various resources, such as books and DVDs. ASA-Net is free and is provided as a courtesy by the dues-paying members of ASA. To sign up, click here.
Other ASA publications include our Living with Autism series, which covers a variety of topics affecting individuals and families affected by autism. Topics covered thus far include Asperger’s, sibling issues, transitioning into adulthood, puberty, sleep issues, and education-related topics, such as transitioning into kindergarten and middle school, and across grade levels. New topics are being discussed for future publications. Individual Living with Autism articles are available for purchase online at http://www.brightdoc.com/asa.
